Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate to join our team at Chenega Professional Services, LLC. As a key member of our Family Advocacy Program, you will provide critical support and services to victims of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Provide 24/7 response to victims of domestic abuse, offering confidential and non-clinical emergent and urgent services.
• Establish and maintain safety plans for victims, working closely with treatment managers and other stakeholders to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with the Family Advocacy Treatment Manager and Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist to develop and implement safety plans, prioritizing the victim's safety and well-being.
• Review and update safety plans regularly, ensuring the victim's needs are met and their safety is ensured.
• Develop and maintain a contact file for each victim, containing essential information and a log of contacts and services provided.
• Participate in the development and implementation of installation DA policies and protocols, working closely with the Family Advocacy Committee and other stakeholders.
• Support the Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist in promoting education about and prevention of domestic abuse, including outreach programs, educational briefings, and skill-building classes.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, such as victim support, social work, or counseling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with victims, treatment managers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
