We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Virtual Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team at Braintree Educational Services. As a Virtual Elementary Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality special education services to students with mild disabilities in a virtual setting.
Job Summary:The Virtual Elementary Special Education Teacher will be responsible for assessing students' skills and learning requirements, developing and implementing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans, and collaborating with parents and school staff to track students' progress. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well-organized, and have the ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess students' skills and learning requirements through standardized testing and other assessment tools.
- Develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans based on data and in accordance with Federal Sped Law.
- Collaborate with parents and school staff to track students' progress and communicate regularly with the Braintree Academy Administration.
- Meet with students virtually to work on and meet their IEP goals.
- Support families with suggestions and ideas to enhance learning as needed.
- Adapt learning materials to students' needs and keep track of and reflect on students' progress through the use of measurable data.
- Schedule and send invitations to all necessary special ed student meetings within given timelines.
- Attend inservice training as needed and perform duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Teaching or a relevant field.
- Valid Indiana State Special Education certification (may apply for certification).
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
