Operating Room Nurse Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to lead our surgical team in San Diego, CA.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience, including three years of management, supervisory or leadership experience. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing is required, along with a current RN license and AHA BLS certification.

The OR Nurse Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of nursing services and safe patient care within the assigned department and across the continuum of care. This includes managing the delivery of services that add value and are integrated with nursing standards of practice, service priorities and performance/outcome measures, as well as with strategic, business and organizational goals/objectives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. If you are a motivated and experienced nurse leader looking for a new challenge, please apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of nursing services and safe patient care within the assigned department
  • Develop and implement nursing standards of practice, service priorities and performance/outcome measures

  • Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing nursing team
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience, including three years of management, supervisory or leadership experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing
  • Current RN license
  • AHA BLS certification
