Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students' fine and gross motor skills to assess eligibility for services and formulate treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to synchronize occupational therapy services and craft personalized treatment plans.
  • Design interventions and educational resources to address motor skill challenges while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Identify structural challenges and suggest suitable assistive technologies to facilitate access for students with physical challenges.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of student progress, therapy logs, treatment strategies, and billing documentation.
  • Engage in professional development activities, including meetings and workshops, to share insights and collaborate with peers.
  • Prepare written documentation such as logs, memos, treatment plans, and reports to track activities and communicate information effectively.
  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, aligning with established goals and objectives.
  • Research and evaluate resources and methodologies to effectively address students' functional needs.
  • Conduct screenings to identify students requiring further individualized assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline.
  • Current Occupational Therapist license in Arizona.
  • Prior experience as an Occupational Therapist, ideally within a school context.
  • Strong understanding of motor skills, assessment methodologies, and intervention strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and other professionals.
