Responsibilities- Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
- Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
- Conduct medication closest assessments
- Collect health-related data
- Observe for and report any abnormal health-related findings to the physician
- Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
- Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported
- Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
- Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing
- Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Ability to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
- Ability to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks
