Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing nutrition care to inpatients and outpatients, assessing patients, and developing personalized nutrition care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and document a plan to ensure effective nutrition care
  • Calculate special diets and provide education to patients on their nutritional needs
  • Document patient education and progress according to department standards
  • Provide nutritional counseling to inpatients and outpatients
  • Conduct meal rounds daily and serve as a nutritional resource to the hospital and community
  • Liaise between patients and physicians to ensure seamless care
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills
  • Attend all license programs and maintain certification requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a successful completion of an accredited American Dietetic Association didactic program in dietetics
  • Successful completion of a post-baccalaureate certificate program in dietetics/dietetic internship
  • Dietetic Registration (RD) certification
  • One year of experience as a clinical dietitian preferred
  • RI license and Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialed
