Job Title: Laborer/Commercial Driver

We are seeking a skilled Laborer/Commercial Driver to join our team at HHS Construction, a Congruex company. As a Laborer/Commercial Driver, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining construction equipment, preparing construction sites, and assisting skilled laborers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment, including heavy machinery and vehicles.
  • Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards, and loading/unloading materials.
  • Assist skilled laborers with various tasks, including site preparation and equipment operation.
  • Perform site clean-up and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Travel to and from job sites, and load/unload materials on trucks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class A driver's license.
  • Experience in telecommunications or underground utilities industry is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to travel to wherever the job is needed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Must be able and willing to conduct strenuous and physically demanding tasks for long hours, work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 40 to 90 pounds.
  • Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crew members and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
  • Must be able to operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work.
