Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Duke Regional Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide professional nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Plan, provide, and document professional nursing care for patients, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care, acting as a team leader or charge nurse as assigned.
- Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care, including equipment and material resources.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, identifying opportunities for growth and development within the team.
- Graduation from an accredited BSN program is required; registered nurses without a BSN are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate program within two years of their start date.
- One year of RN experience is required for level II Registered Nurses, with Operating Room experience preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or a compact RN license is required; BLS certification is also necessary.
