General Position Summary

This role primarily involves working with youth aged 6-17 who face behavioral challenges in a residential setting. The position includes providing crisis intervention, support, and learning to recognize and address risk factors in youth. The Youth Support Specialist I develops mentoring relationships, identifies individual strengths, and facilitates skill-building and recreational activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire).
  • Willingness to complete core competency training within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Prior experience in effectively communicating and coordinating youth activities is advantageous.
