About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our clinical team at Heartland Crossing Dental Care.

This is a full-time position with a Monday-Thursday schedule, offering a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to deliver quality care.
  • Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts.
  • Assist with setting up rooms, stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
  • Partner with providers and team members to follow office systems and maximize office workflow.
Requirements
  • Indiana Radiology License or permit pending.
  • Working knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology.
  • Experience with dental software, Dentrix preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Access to minimum PHI necessary for job-related functions, with regular HIPAA training.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically.
