Position Overview:

Salary: $33.00 / hour
Sign-on bonus: $500; $500 upon completion of 30 days

As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will provide essential support to adults facing Brain Injury or behavioral challenges by evaluating their health requirements and delivering individualized clinical care.

This role is situated in a cozy residential environment designed to cater to a distinct specialized demographic, including individuals with brain injuries, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or other intricate health concerns.

Our programs maintain low staff-to-client ratios, enabling you to cultivate meaningful relationships with the individuals we support, their families, friends, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care and administer medications in accordance with the Medication Administration Plan (MAP) guidelines.
  • Assist individuals in integrating into their communities.
  • Monitor and report any changes in health status to relevant parties.
  • Conduct individual assessments in response to any changes in condition.
  • Implement skilled nursing interventions as necessary.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in Massachusetts. 1-2 years of supervised practical experience, including internships, in a clinical or rehabilitation setting preferred. Experience working with individuals with Brain Injury or behavioral conditions is advantageous.

Strong time management and written communication skills are essential. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid US driver's license for a minimum of one year. CPR certification must be obtained within specified timelines, and MAP certification is required within 90 days of employment. Successful completion of a CORI, reference, multi-state background, and driving record check is mandatory.
