About the Role:

The Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in enhancing patients' ability to perform daily tasks related to work and life. As an orthopedic and neurological specialist, you will conduct assessments, devise treatment plans based on physician referrals, and document patient progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review physician referrals and patient medical history to determine therapy needs.
  • Conduct and document patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment plans according to department protocols.
  • Administer prescribed occupational therapy treatments and create custom equipment for individual needs.
  • Develop programs focusing on functional skills, vocational training, daily activities, and motor skills.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment goals and plans as necessary, participating in patient care conferences.
  • Educate patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a license to practice as an occupational therapist in the state of current practice. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred upon hire and required within 30 days for some locations. Two years of experience in an equivalent setting are preferred.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates appropriate application of age-specific standards, policies, and procedures in caring for patients.
  • Demonstrates general computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
  • Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, capabilities, and progress.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with co-workers, physicians, patients, and families.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
