Job SummaryUnder moderate supervision, administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist according to established standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist
- Follow established standards and practices for radiation therapy
- Work with patients of all ages, from adult to adult geriatric
- Graduation from an approved and accredited radiation therapy program
- Licensed as a radiation therapist in the state of Maryland
- One year of clinical experience in radiation therapy preferred
- Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care
Work in a clinical environment, exposed to frequent interruptions and multiple demands. May be physically or verbally abused by patients. May be required to work on rotating shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
