Job Summary

Mills Properties is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, including performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and addressing resident concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete service requests in a timely and effective manner
  • Perform preventative maintenance on property, buildings, units, appliances, and equipment
  • Complete the make-ready process by ensuring all repairs, replacements, and clean-up are completed
  • Communicate daily with the property office to report on progress of service requests and make-readies
  • Identify and report to management any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or maintenance needs
  • Assist other maintenance associates as needed
  • Monitor pool operation and maintain health department standards
  • Maintain curb appeal by assisting with grounds keeping and picking up litter
  • Assist with housekeeping, inspections, and other tasks as assigned by the property manager/maintenance supervisor
  • Provide excellent service to residents through courteous and timely response to their needs and concerns
  • Perform call-back emergency service as required
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops
  • Abide by Mills Properties policies and procedures and laws pertaining to Fair Housing and the Americans with Disabilities Act

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; trade school degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year maintenance experience preferred
  • EPA certification Type I and II, or Universal required; or willing to complete certification within first 90 days of employment
  • Proven ability to maintain composure against obstacles and solve problems with keen insight
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call
  • Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions
  • Valid driver's license
  • Adept at building relationships and working in a team environment
