Job Summary
St. Tammany Parish Public School System is seeking a qualified Mental Health Provider to join our team. As a Mental Health Provider, you will play a critical role in supporting the mental health and well-being of our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mental health services to students, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation with teachers and parents.
- Develop and implement mental health programs and services to promote student well-being and academic success.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other mental health professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student mental health.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health and education, and incorporate this knowledge into your work with students and staff.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as an LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Master's Degree Certification in school psychology.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
