Job Title: Nurse II

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse II to join our team at the State of Colorado. As a Nurse II, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Job Summary:

The Nurse II will work in a skilled nursing care unit, providing direct and indirect care to residents. This includes administering medications, performing treatments, and completing documentation in accordance with V.A. and State regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct care to residents on a skilled nursing care unit or domiciliary unit.
  • Coordinate duties with other disciplines, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
  • Monitor resident conditions and respond to any changes or concerns.
  • Ensure the safety of residents and report any incidents or concerns to the MD and team.
  • Transport residents to appointments and other activities as needed.
Requirements:
  • Valid, active Registered Nurse License issued by the State of Colorado or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Two (2) years of professional nursing experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, squat, and perform physical interventions proficiently.
  • Current/Valid and unrestricted US Driver's License throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IV Certification.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The Nurse II must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
