Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide direct patient care.
  • Supervise and guide nursing staff in the delivery of patient care, ensuring that all care is provided in a safe and effective manner.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current Virginia license to practice as a Registered Nurse or license eligible; multi-state compact endorsement accepted.
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric psychiatric patients, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
