Position Responsibilities
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and perform diagnostic procedures in Peripheral Vascular Imaging.
  • Conduct complete diagnostic tests, including patient positioning, equipment calibration, and documentation of findings, under the supervision of a supervisor or Non-Invasive Cardiology Manager.
  • Prepare equipment to ensure operational safety and functionality according to diagnostic standards.
  • Perform daily equipment and room maintenance, adhering to infection control standards.
  • Participate in patient testing, performing routine, non-routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests.
  • Review physician requests to verify test type and indication consistency.
  • Provide diagnostic test information to patients, ensuring awareness and education about the procedure.
  • Obtain patient history according to departmental procedural protocol.
  • Perform physical assessments and tests according to departmental protocol.
  • Position patients for examinations according to departmental protocol.
  • Select equipment presets and modify settings to ensure optimal image, Doppler, and color Doppler information.
  • Ensure recording equipment is operational.
  • Complete diagnostic examinations according to departmental procedural protocols.
  • Document demographic and diagnostic information for departmental, hospital, and patient records.
  • Complete preliminary diagnostic reports and communicate with staff and physicians as needed for proper patient care.
  • Perform QA monitoring, new procedure implementation, continuing education, and student involvement.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in a health-related program or one year certificate in a related medical field.
  • Registration by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as RVT or RDCS, or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RVS or RCS.

Pay Range: $44.30/hour
