">">**Job Description:** Under general supervision, this role performs senior-level professional auditing duties, working independently on moderate to complex assignments. You will examine accounting records, invoices, and bank statements to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and municipal tax ordinances.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet with various parties to discuss audit processes and request financial documents
- Examine accounting records and computerized ledgers for appropriateness of financial transactions
- Organize financial data and prepare computerized spreadsheets and analyses
- Prepare detailed reports of audit findings and explain results to audited agencies
- Recommend corrective action for delegate agencies in contract violation
**Required Skills and Qualifications:** A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with 15 credit hours in accounting supplemented by two years of progressively responsible professional auditing experience. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
