As a Senior Investigator (Long-term Care Regulation), you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the health and safety of residents by conducting thorough inspections and investigations in Texas intermediate care facilities. Your work will focus on ensuring compliance with both state and federal regulations.
**Compensation and Benefits:**
This role offers a competitive starting salary of $79,000, along with excellent state benefits, including comprehensive health insurance and retirement plans. You will have the opportunity to travel regularly to various facilities across the state.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Under the guidance of a program manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting on-site licensure inspections and complex complaint investigations.
- Performing annual comprehensive surveys in ICF facilities to assess compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicating effectively with facility staff to discuss findings and assist in developing corrective action plans.
- Completing detailed inspection reports that outline deficiencies and recommended remedies.
- Verifying the correction of previously cited regulatory violations through follow-up visits.
- Participating in quality assurance reviews of documentation prepared by others.
- Developing and delivering training for field investigators.
- Collaborating with other teams within the organization, including enforcement and quality assurance.
- Occasionally testifying at hearings or court proceedings regarding regulatory findings.
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

- A strong understanding of professional care standards.
