Job Summary:

HP Hood is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for administering policies and procedures related to all phases of human resources activity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Recruit, interview, test, and select employees to fill vacant positions, maintaining local AAP program and ensuring accuracy with app flow log.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Keep records of benefits plans participation, personnel transactions, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Train management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
  • Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
  • Administer salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
  • Administer benefits programs, including life, health, dental, and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Plan and execute employee activities that foster meaningful connection to the Company and site, such as luncheons, celebrations, United Way Campaigns, Open Enrollment & Wellness Activities.
  • Create and post communications, including table talkers, birthday/anniversary announcements, etc.
  • Participate in quarterly communications meetings to provide updates and communications to employees.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree preferred, BA/BS a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent file management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong computer skills.
Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 11am - 8pm
