Coastline Academy is seeking a qualified Driving Instructor to join our team. As a Driving Instructor, you will be responsible for educating and advising students on the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel.

About the Role

This is a part-time position that requires a valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in. You will be working in a company-provided vehicle, teaching students in a safe and controlled environment.

Responsibilities
  • Teach practical skills related to all aspects of driving
  • Provide instruction on the rules of the road
  • Help students develop confidence in their driving skills
  • Gain control of the vehicle during emergency situations
  • Document and report on students' progress
  • Maintain timely communication with your supervisor and support team
  • Maintain professionalism with students and fellow team members
  • Attend team meetings for updates and ongoing development
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for helping people learn
  • Ability to remain calm in a learning environment
  • A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check
  • Must have 10 years of legal driving experience
  • A strong safety mindset and strong reasoning ability
  • Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others
  • Ability to focus for extended periods of time
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle
  • Must be able to see and hear during all weather conditions
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, touch, feel
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
