Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Cendyn is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Ruby on Rails.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop web applications using Ruby on Rails to improve functionality and user experience.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Ruby on Rails.
  • Work closely with DevOps and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment and testing processes.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-up meetings.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior developers.
  • Enforce and evolve software development standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and ensure timely resolution to maintain high availability and performance.
  • Estimate development tasks based on the appropriate business constraints.
  • Provide on-call support as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive experience as a Ruby on Rails Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in Ruby programming language.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ruby on Rails framework.
  • Strong proficiency with at least 3 years of Elastic Search development.
  • Proficiency with NoSQL Databases like: MongoDB and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) as well.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Version control system experience (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience of working with front-end frameworks/libraries like: Angular, React, or VueJS would be a strong plus.

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and to understand complex software architecture.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve coding issues.
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to pay attention to programming style and neatness.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams, respecting opinions and contributing constructively to team goals.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and testing rigorously before deployment.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Efficient in balancing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Work Timings:

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work are according to terms and conditions and subject to changes by Manager's communication and may have to accommodate customer schedules in different international time zones.
