Job Overview:
The Clinical Outcomes Coordinator for Stroke is a proficient nursing professional responsible for the abstraction, analysis, and synthesis of data that evaluates the appropriateness, utilization, quality, and outcomes of care provided to patients with cardiovascular and stroke conditions. This role requires a deep understanding of specific data requirements as defined by national registries.

The Coordinator is expected to demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment in cardiovascular and stroke-related care and outcomes management. In this leadership role, the Coordinator will act as an expert in stroke outcomes, directing collaborative clinical efforts to implement changes in practice and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Care:
This position involves working with staff across multiple units, including Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Unit Information:
Number of Beds: 214

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Abstraction: Accurately abstract clinical data as required by external reporting bodies.
2. Data Auditing: Conduct timely audits to ensure a reliable and accurate database.
3. Trend Analysis: Monitor critical data for trends and collaborate with staff to develop improvement plans.
4. Quality Improvement: Design, implement, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives related to heart and vascular patient care.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
- Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred
- Minimum of 7 years in Nursing/Patient Care/Clinical Required
- Minimum of 3 years in Cardiovascular/Stroke Care Required
