We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Services Specialist to join our team at McDermott. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our onshore construction team, ensuring the high availability of IT infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the onshore construction team by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, identifying technical problems, and implementing practical solutions.
  • Ensure high availability of IT infrastructure for all onshore construction projects.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure security and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Manage and maintain local networks, firewalls, and routers.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and protocols.
  • Work with the project management team to ensure successful delivery of IT projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience providing IT support in the EPCI industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of EPCI industry-specific software and applications.
  • Experience with industrial network design and configuration.
  • Certification in any of the following: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or ITIL Foundation.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites for on-site support.
