Job Responsibilities

As a Public Health LPN, you will provide assistance to public health nurses and county programs under direct supervision. Your duties will include providing medical treatments, administering medication, and giving injections. You will also process patient medical intake for various programs, collect and process specimens for testing, and collaborate with laboratories to ensure timely reception of lab results.

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and functional laboratory space, completing electronic charting, and ensuring all paper forms are properly scanned into the electronic medical records. Additionally, you will participate in public health events and emergency exercises, including health fairs, mass flu vaccine clinics, and emergency response events.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have a vocational/technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college, a current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse, CPR certification, and completion of all necessary orientation and training for a Public Health LPN. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.
