Overview:

InvestM Technology LLC is in search of a proficient Senior Java Engineer to enhance our development team. The selected candidate will demonstrate extensive expertise in Java/J2EE, contributing to the creation of high-performance applications. A solid grasp of Java design patterns, along with the ability to develop data service layers utilizing JPA, is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Analysis: Accurately interpret and execute project specifications with minimal reliance on team members or leadership.
  • Software Development: Engineer well-structured Java EE applications that prioritize reusability, maintainability, and clarity, emphasizing effective coding methodologies.
  • Design Pattern Application: Utilize comprehensive knowledge of Java design patterns during application development.
  • Documentation Standards: Produce thorough Javadoc for each method and class, ensuring detailed and clear explanations.
  • Data Service Layer Engineering: Engage in hands-on development of data service layers using JPA.
  • Task Execution: Complete daily assignments punctually, meeting project timelines and commitments.
  • SQL Proficiency: Craft SQL queries, including Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML).
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Demonstrate experience in writing JUnit tests, coupled with strong technical troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
  • Commitment to Learning: Exhibit a strong willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and methodologies.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, showcasing excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate within a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-8 years of practical experience in Java/JEE, including familiarity with technologies such as Spring Batch and Spring Boot, particularly in time-sensitive projects with stringent deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of Java design patterns and their practical application.
  • 5-8 years of experience in crafting User Interface pages using PrimeFaces and developing data service layers with JPA.
  • Proven track record in writing JUnit tests, SQL queries, and creating views and stored procedures as necessary.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Core Java/J2EE backend development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend requirements and execute them independently.
  • Experience in State and/or Public Sector environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus.
