Role Summary:

The Metal Fabrication Technician will be responsible for operating machinery that performs welding, tapping, assembly, and unloading of components. This role involves utilizing foundational knowledge of manufacturing processes to produce metal parts or assemblies according to specified requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and measurements of machined components to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Remove finished parts from machinery, inspect for quality, and organize them into designated containers.
  • Review completed work pieces to confirm compliance with specifications, utilizing operator inspection sheets, quality control documentation, and customer instructions, employing tools such as gauges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to established safety protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and facility safety regulations.
  • Replace worn tooling as necessary (e.g., taps, tips).
  • Possess a basic understanding of computer operations relevant to the role.
  • Exhibit attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic dimensional measurement and quickly learn to use precision measurement instruments.
  • Show capability to adapt to changes effectively.
  • Prioritize safety as a fundamental aspect of employment.
  • Assist in catching parts from the press.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
