Certified Medical Assistant/LPN Part-time Opportunity

At Dodge County Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant/LPN to join our part-time team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, documenting findings and developing individualized care plans.
- Exercise professional judgment in treating patients, modifying treatment plans as necessary and consulting with physicians when required.
- Provide patients and families with education on health risks, nutritional issues, and lifestyle changes, promoting healthy habits and wellness.
- Coordinate patient medication and test scheduling, ensuring seamless care transitions.
- Schedule consultations and referrals, and administer prescriptions as directed by physicians.
- Respond to patient inquiries, addressing concerns and needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments, ensuring clear communication and patient understanding.
- Reinforce patient care plans and education, assessing comprehension and providing additional support as needed.
- Ensure examination rooms are stocked with necessary supplies, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assume a leadership role, implementing nursing concepts and mentoring colleagues to enhance patient care and staff development.
- Stay current with innovations, developments, and best practices in nursing care, providing quality services and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Embody a commitment to safety, infection control, and performance improvement, driving quality care and services.
- Present a professional image, representing Dodge County Hospital with integrity and respect.
- Participate in professional development programs and in-service trainings, meeting continuing education requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Pursue a business office school, Medical Assistant program, or Associate's degree for optimal qualifications.
- Hold a high school diploma with an emphasis in Office Occupations and Administrative Skills or a GED state certification.
- Acquire up to one year of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Develop basic computer knowledge to effectively navigate our systems.
