About the RoleCVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our pharmacy operations. As a Pharmacy Department Head, you will be responsible for managing and directing a team of pharmacists and technicians to ensure seamless store operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Safety: Ensure patient safety by maintaining accurate medication records, managing inventory, and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Pharmacy Professional Practice: Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy operations, including workflow management, customer service, and personnel management.
Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and ensure compliance in all aspects of pharmacy operations.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high-quality standards in pharmacy operations, including inventory management and financial profitability.
Leadership: Lead by example, demonstrating empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
Motivation and Development: Motivate and inspire your team to achieve excellence, balancing assignments to maximize strengths and address development opportunities.
Growth and Performance: Identify business opportunities and develop meaningful solutions to drive growth and improve performance in your pharmacy.
Adaptability: Adapt to change and adjust plans to thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
Licensure: Active pharmacy license in the state where employed.
Background Check: Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
Certifications: Immunization certification through an accredited organization (i.e., APhA) and listed as pharmacist-in-charge on the pharmacy state license.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $127,040 - $161,520, based on location and experience. This pay range represents the base salary for the position, which may vary depending on various factors.
