Job Title: Informatica Developer with Power Exchange

Job Location: Dallas, TX

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Informatica Developer to join our Data Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes utilizing Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange. The role requires a strong understanding of data integration, data warehousing, and database design.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange.
  2. Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  3. Perform data analysis, data mapping, and data validation to ensure accurate data transformation and loading.
  4. Develop complex Informatica mappings and workflows to extract data from various sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into target data warehouses or data marts.
  5. Ensure the integrity, security, and privacy of data throughout the ETL process.
  6. Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning to optimize data processing.
  7. Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data models, and data flow diagrams.
  8. Stay current with new features and capabilities in Informatica and related data management technologies.
  9. Work closely with the testing team to support the testing process and resolve any issues that arise.
  10. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
  11. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements:

You are:

  1. 8 years of experience in ETL development with Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange.
  2. Must have experience in Informatica Power Exchange and SQL, Shell scripting, UNIX/Linux commands.
  3. Strong understanding of relational database concepts, SQL, and data warehousing principles.
  4. Experience with data modeling and data mapping.
  5. Proven ability to write complex SQL queries and tune them for performance.
  6. Knowledge of data quality and data governance principles.
  7. Familiarity with other ETL tools and technologies is a plus.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  9. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
