Are you passionate about providing exceptional service and looking for a role where you can make a difference in your community? This position is for a Medical Assistant who will serve our Family Medicine clinic in San Marcos. The working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays (approximately once a month, with a compensatory day off during the week).

The Medical Assistant (MA) will undertake a variety of clinical and administrative responsibilities. Clinical tasks may involve measuring and documenting vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, performing blood draws, and administering medications. Administrative duties may include answering phone inquiries, registering new patients, scheduling appointments, and managing fee collections.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and healthcare workflows
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in a healthcare-related field
  • One year of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Six months of experience with electronic health record documentation
  • Phlebotomy certification
