Job Overview

Position: Pet Care Technician

Reports to: General Manager

As a Pet Care Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and cleanliness of our furry guests. This position requires a genuine love for dogs and a willingness to engage in hands-on care, including cleaning, bathing, and supervising dog daycare activities. Strong communication and keen observational skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners.
  • Utilize downtime efficiently to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Oversee the health and safety of dogs in daycare and boarding.
  • Collaborate with management to fulfill resort responsibilities.
  • Ensure sanitation of all living spaces and outdoor areas, including bathing and monitoring of dogs.
  • Conduct health checks to identify any pre-existing conditions or injuries.
  • Assist with various tasks as directed by the General Manager/Owner.
  • Facilitate playtime and exercise for dogs.
  • Manage outdoor breaks for dogs.
  • Proficiently use Microsoft Office and adapt to new software as needed.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in pet care is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Availability for weekend and holiday shifts is required.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and general computer usage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
