Senior Estimator

We are a leading general contractor seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Philadelphia. The successful candidate will develop, create, and prepare construction cost estimates for various projects throughout the pre-construction phase.

This role requires the ability to review plans and architectural drawings, ensure complete reviews, and identify omitted items. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office and Excel, as well as well-developed budgeting, purchasing, and organizational skills.

• Review plans and architectural drawings
• Prepare quantity take-offs on assigned Healthcare industry projects
• Ensure a complete review of plans and drawings
• Identify items that have been omitted and ensure appropriate accounting in overall estimate package
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with subcontractors
• Obtain 3-5 bids for each trade and supplier group
• Review and analyze bids for conformance to project specifications, price, material quality, insurance, wages, and related items
• Discuss and resolve any questions with subcontractors
• Follow approved estimating practices
• Maintain current information on trends in and changes to existing construction codes
• Utilize software programs to calculate, record, and track estimates

• BS or BA required, preferably in construction, management, engineering, or architecture
• 3+ years of experience in Estimating, Construction Engineer/Project Engineer, or related duties in general contractor estimating and purchasing
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office/Excel) and well-developed budgeting, purchasing, and organizational skills
• Earns and maintains trust by demonstrating honesty, accountability, and reliability

• Estimated salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
