We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Telemetry Technician to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a Per Diem Telemetry Technician, you will play a critical role in identifying and communicating cardiac rhythm irregularities to other team members.
Key Responsibilities- Provide coverage and observation of cardiac monitors
- Communicate changes in cardiac rhythm and recognition of life-threatening dysrhythmias
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient care
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, telephone skills, and English
- Completion of a Cardiac Monitor Technician program designed for unlicensed healthcare providers
- Basic Life Support certification
- One year of hospital cardiac monitor tech experience
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
