We are currently seeking a skilled Insurance Eligibility Specialist to join our team. This position offers a contract opportunity with potential for long-term engagement. The role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that candidates are available for occasional onsite requirements.
Compensation: $19.50/hour. Employee benefits may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave, contingent on work location.
Training Details: Training will be conducted virtually, with a schedule of 8:30 AM - 5 PM EST during the training period, transitioning to a flexible schedule based on operational needs. The training consists of 4 weeks of classroom instruction followed by 2 weeks of hands-on training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbound calls related to insurance eligibility, prior authorizations, and copayment inquiries.
- Provide straightforward administrative support in managing eligibility for benefits.
- Maintain and update eligibility data through automated systems and manual processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Generate reports to identify and address issues in eligibility data.
- Assist clients with technical support related to electronic eligibility processing.
- Ensure accurate and timely installation of customer data.
- Interact with various systems to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Adhere to established procedures while working under close supervision.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in computer usage and technology.
- Strong customer service skills, particularly over the phone.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday with minimal absenteeism.
- Prior experience in customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues is advantageous.
