Manufacturing Quality Control Professional

Volt has partnered with a reputable food distribution company to fill a full-time Quality Assurance Technician position. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a long-term career in quality assurance.
The position involves carrying out SOPs related to food safety and quality, including document control, scanning documents, filing, data entry, lab work, and production floor presence. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all supplier documents are current and on file, maintaining and updating all vendor documents to meet SQF and FSMA requirements, and creating customer documents such as COAs.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing and maintaining the Quality holds system by distributing, keeping track of status, and creating disposal or spillage documents in Smartsheet/ERP systems for approval.
- Maintaining, creating, and updating company policies and procedures in Alchemy software. Serving as a backup trainer for Alchemy training.
- Serving as a backup to read microbiological testing plates when the microbiologist is absent.
- Maintaining and updating documents.
- Ensuring all supplier documents are current and on file.
- Maintaining and updating all vendor documents to meet SQF and FSMA requirements.
- Creating customer documents such as COAs.
- Preparing reports, memos, letters, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software as required.
- Attending, compiling, transcribing, and distributing meeting minutes.
- Scanning, verifying, and archiving documentation and records. Ensuring the correct and timely input of database entries.
- Setting up products for sensory evaluation and distributing sensory evaluation information to the QA Manager.
