Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment strategies utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities.
  • Document both subjective and objective observations regarding patient progress.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust care plans as necessary, seeking additional consultation when required.
  • Provide education to patients and their families or caregivers regarding identified deficits.
  • Facilitate and/or assist in the discharge process from therapy services and treatment environments.
  • Offer guidance on the selection and use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians in accordance with established regulations and standards.
QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
Essential Skills: Strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal oversight. Must thrive in high-pressure situations and respond appropriately.
Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Licenses: Valid Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina.
Professional Affiliations: Recommended membership with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
