Job Title: Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Chicago, Illinois.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week contract position with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will provide respiratory care services to individual patients and their families, responding to medical emergencies and performing routine maintenance on equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care services to patients, including assessment, care planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation.
  • Respond to medical emergencies throughout the facility and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) certification.
  • 1-2 years of acute care experience.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to handle a multi-task environment.
  • Basic PC skills, including Windows NT and computerized respiratory equipment.
