Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring and managing inventory for all McLane Grocery divisions, utilizing various systems, applications, and best practices to achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pricing and Deal Management: Ensure accurate pricing and deal information, communicating changes and updates in accordance with company policies.
  • Supplier and Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, brokers, customers, and McLane Grocery divisions, providing exceptional customer service, sales, and accounting support.
  • Sales and Purchasing Trend Analysis: Analyze sales and purchasing trends to identify seasonal strategies and changes in demand, planning and executing effective inventory management.
  • Service Level and Reporting: Review daily service level, DSII reporting, and daily out reports by division, ensuring timely and accurate data.
  • Purchase Order Management: Review past due and unconfirmed purchase orders, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing stockouts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of business-related work experience, with a background in purchasing or inventory management preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
