Position Overview

Logistics coordinators and material handlers play a crucial role in managing the receipt and distribution of various materials, equipment, and samples.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ordering necessary equipment and materials.
  • Preparing purchase orders and coordinating equipment rentals.
  • Tracking the delivery of incoming materials.

In this role, you will unload delivery trucks, handle packages, and organize stock in shelves and storerooms. Additionally, you will manage the preparation of materials and equipment for shipping, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

The logistics coordinator and material handler may also be tasked with operating forklifts, filling tanks and containers, and utilizing plant equipment as needed.

Furthermore, you will provide essential material handling services, which may include:

  • Management of hazardous waste.
  • Shipping and receiving operations.
  • Support for research activities.

Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment is a top priority, and the role requires the ability to work independently while adhering to established safety protocols.

This position typically follows a day shift schedule, with the possibility of shift work and overtime as required.
