About the Job

We are seeking a certified medication aide to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our nursing staff to ensure that residents receive the best possible care.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed by the treating physician and record information regarding same.
  • Safeguard medications.
  • Adhere to all Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services criteria in the performance of duties.
  • Respond to signals from the nurse call system (bells, lights, etc.) to determine resident needs.
  • Comply with doctor's orders as directed within scope of responsibilities.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a current certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) permit issued by the Texas Department of Human Services, a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate competence in the tasks performed by a Certified Medication Aide (CMA).

A minimum of one year of long-term care experience as a Certified Nurse Aide or CMA is desirable, but not required. Being bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.

Estimated Salary Range: $42,000 - $52,000 per year.
