As a High-Level Mechanical Project Manager for Complex HVAC Systems at Johnson Controls, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of large-scale mechanical projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the project from initiation to completion, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Job Description:

The High-Level Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Client Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet the required quality standards, adhering to Johnson Controls' quality management system.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles, HVAC systems, and project management software.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage conflicts, and make tough decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business principles, including finance, accounting, and marketing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Project Management Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, project management, or a related field.
