The Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team in a variable shift position. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for compounding and dispensing prescribed medications, providing expert advice to healthcare professionals, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication profiles in the Cerner system, ensuring 100% compliance with medical orders.
- Clinical Pharmacists: Provide timely and concise responses to requests for drug information, demonstrating expertise in pharmaceutical knowledge.
- Compounding and Dispensing Medication: Fill medications correctly, supervise support staff, and ensure accurate labeling and availability of medications to patients.
- Quality and Cost Effectiveness: Ensure medications are correctly filled, accurately labeled, and available to patients in a timely manner, while also making approved substitutions as needed.
- Other Duties: Participate in projects as needed and complete other assigned tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Current license with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy (RPH)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
