This role requires a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to and assist in implementing a plan of care that reflects the patient's physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.
- Demonstrate competency and ability to carry out department-specific functions in accordance with the department's standards of care, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to the assessment of the health status of patients, including interactions with patient family members by collecting basic subjective and objective data from observations and interviews.
- Identify basic signs and symptoms of deviations from normal health status and provide basic information that licensed nurses use in identification of problems and needs.
- Report the patient's self-report/symptoms of pain promptly according to standard operating procedure.
- Nurse Aide certification from the North Dakota Board of Health within 4 months of start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of start date.
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and stooping/bending. The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull medium-weight objects is also necessary. The work environment is primarily indoor, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.
Driving RequirementsThis position is classified as an Infrequent Driver, requiring occasional driving from once per month to as frequently as once per week.
