Join Our Team as a Resident ClinicianWe are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Resident Clinician to join our team. As a Resident Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care to our patients, working closely with our experienced clinical staff to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with physicians to evaluate and analyze patient needs for prosthetic or orthotic services
- Examine and evaluate patient needs in relation to disease and functional loss
- Formulate design of prostheses/orthoses
- Select materials/componentry, take cast/measurements, model rectifications/layouts
- Perform fittings, including static and dynamic alignments
- Evaluate prosthetic/orthotic device on patient and adjust to assure fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work
- Instruct patient in use of prosthesis/orthosis
- Identify and reconcile issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with device(s) provided
- Provide follow-up with patients and physicians
- Provide detailed clinical notes to patient records that support medical necessity
- Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities
- Provide in-service training to physicians and allied health care professionals
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or post-graduate Certificate in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited college or university
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined in Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
