O'Reilly Auto Parts, a leading auto parts retailer, is seeking an experienced Facility Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our distribution center operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, including equipment, grounds, and structures.

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill this critical role. The successful candidate will have a strong background in facility management, with experience in maintenance coordination, team supervision, and project management.

Responsibilities

">
  • Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all distribution center equipment and systems
  • Prioritize daily workload to effectively address facility and building grounds issues, including structural components, electrical systems, plumbing, roofing, painting, carpentry, and outside grounds maintenance
  • Responsible for training, supervising, and developing maintenance specialists and custodians
  • Develop and implement project work logs/order repair systems for team members to utilize for equipment service or repair issues
  • Maintain team productivity status and develop reports on staff productivity for the DC manager
  • Assist the safety supervisor in ensuring all maintenance team members utilize personal protective equipment, complete required OSHA training, and address DC safety issues with highest priority
  • Responsible for all onsite construction projects, including remodels and new construction
  • Ensure outside contractors adhere to Team O'Reilly safety policies/procedures and complete required corporate documents
  • Use sound, cost-effective bidding and procurement principles when purchasing supplies, equipment, or services for the distribution center
  • Track purchase orders, receivables, and invoices for the maintenance department
  • Assist the DC manager in developing and planning annual capital expenditure requests
  • Responsible for timely completion of team member evaluations
  • Operate in a safe manner for self and others, maintaining a watchful eye for unsafe practices and situations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1+ years in a maintenance/facility coordinator or supervisor position
  • Must be able to multitask and work well in a team environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical systems or related field (substitution possible)
  • 2+ years of facility, building, or distribution experience
  • Certified facilities manager designation
  • Proven record in fiscal and budgetary management
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)

Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
