Job Summary

The Head Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market is a key member of our store team, responsible for supervising a team of cashiers and providing training, hiring, and operational support. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train a team of cashiers to ensure excellent customer service and efficient checkout processes.
• Monitor and maintain cash register supply levels, ensuring seamless transactions and minimizing losses.
• Assign store sweeps and maintain cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks for team members, adhering to company policy and state requirements.
• Participate in disciplinary actions and provide input to management on required actions.
• Operate front-end equipment, including registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management, demonstrating a positive attitude and friendly behavior.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience and leadership training preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Dependable and reliable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and carry product weighing up to 30 lbs. for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers, including cash handling and mathematical skills.
