Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Genesis HealthCare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our nursing units, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the clinical operations of the nursing units, ensuring compliance with Genesis policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff and promote safe, 24/7 nursing care.
  • Participate in staff recruitment, new hire orientation, mentor staff, and make recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, ensuring alignment with Genesis's mission and values.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience, with a minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing and one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity.
  • BSN preferred, with current BLS/CPR certification and RN license.
