Position Overview
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Sonographer plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services. This position is designed for individuals who are dedicated to patient care and possess a strong technical background in ultrasound technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols.
- Provide age-appropriate care and support to patients throughout the imaging process.
- Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of ultrasound techniques, focusing on abdominal, vascular, and retroperitoneal scans.
- Assist in minor invasive ultrasound procedures, including cyst aspirations and biopsies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, educating them about the procedures and addressing their concerns.
- Support the Ultrasound Department in maintaining efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A formal education equivalent to an Associate's degree in a relevant field.
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program.
- Less than one year of relevant experience.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- ARDMS certification or eligibility, with the expectation of obtaining board certification within one year of hire.
